Centro Digital Pictures was founded in 1987 by John Chu, initially as a post-production company and later evolving to become what is probably Asias leading animation and visual effects studio.

先涛数码特技有限公司成立于1987年, 其创始人是朱家欣。经过多年的发展，已由早期的一间后期制作公司，逐步成为亚洲首屈一指的动画与视觉效果制作公司。


With over 150 full-time staff members and US$25 million invested to date, Centro has developed a creative and technical skill-set unrivalled in the region, winning over 40 local and international awards for its work.

Centro established new precedents for the use of digital film effects in Hong Kong, setting box office records in the territory. "The Stormriders", which Centro co-produced, was the box-office leader in Hong Kong and many Asian cities in 1998. "A Man Called Hero", co-produced by Centro in 1999, is still the holder of the highest opening weekend box office record of all time in Hong Kong, including Hollywood films. And "Kung Fu Hustle", for which Centro was responsible for the visual effects, set the highest total box office record of all time in Hong Kong for a local feature. All the foregoing films were awarded with the Hong Kong Film for Best Visual Effects.

先涛数码科技公司在香港开创了使用数码电影效果的先例，所制作的电影屡创票房佳绩。1998年，先涛公司参与创作的《风云》在香港和多个亚洲城市的票房居于榜首；1999年，先涛公司也参与了《中华英雄》的制作，在香港创下了首周票房的最高记录。而由先涛公司负责视觉效果制作的《功夫》更在香港刷新了总票房的最高记录。以上提到的所有影片均在香港电影金像奖里荣获最佳视觉效果奖。

Working from three inter-linked facilities in Hong Kong, Centros production and post-production teams have consistently stretched the boundaries of the imagination as they provide fully-integrated design and production in digital film effects, computer animation, digital video post-production, live action, and interactive media. Centro was one of the first in Asia to bring digital effects and animation to the silver screen over nine years ago. Credits include over twenty feature films working with Asias top directors. Centros teams visualize the effects, supervise production - on location and in the digital studio - and see the films through post to maximize creative input and the efficiencies afforded by digital production.

Games are serious business and weve spent some time playing them - but mostly the ones weve helped create. Centro is the first company in Asia, outside Japan, ever commissioned by Sony to co-produce a PlayStation title. Were also appointed by Ubi Soft to produce opening for award winning games such as Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell. As games, and game consoles, begin to connect the world, were set to develop next generation titles transforming classic Chinese mythologies into games of international appeal.
